Details

The SDURO Trekking / Cross models are structurally similar to our off-road models, with a geometry focused on long bike rides. The performance and reliability of the Yamaha PW drive system ensures you have lot of fun, whether on gentle terrain, forest tracks, or riding through the city.

Technology

Made of shock-resistant plastic, the light component protects effectively from scratches or motor damage.
    The Haibike SkidPlate

Especially eMTBs often suffer from impacts or stone chipping which damage the low-situated motor severely. Therefore, we were the first manufacturer to introduce the SkidPlate back in 2013, a protection element which protects the bottom side of the motor.

    Bottom side protection

Here the concept of a 'sacrifice part' applies: Similar to a helmet, the SkidPlate absorbs impact forces by deformation or destruction which would otherwise damage the significantly more expensive motor.

Powerful, reliable and proven: The PW engine from eBike drive pioneer Yamaha provides dynamic support up to 20mph and allows a dual chainring.
    Yamaha PW Drive Unit
The Yamaha PW unit is proven to be a powerful and reliable motor. Thanks to its Zero-Cadence system, it supports the rider from the first revolution of the crank. As one of the few motors available allowing a dual chainring, the Yamaha system is able to offer a broad range of gears providing more gear options out on the trails. Given its high maximum torque of up to 70Nm, its compact size, and its low noise, the Yamaha PW is one of the best eBike systems for sporty use.
The original Yamaha display offers a range of features and information. It is conveniently controlled via a remote on the left of the handlebars.
    Yamaha Multifunction LCD Display
The Yamaha multifunction display provides a quick overview of all the Yamaha system features. The removable display can be mounted in different positions and is operated by the remote on the handlebar.
Information available includes: the selection and display of the support levels (Off, Eco +, Eco, Standard, High), battery charging level, remaining range, current, average and maximum speed, daily and total distance traveled, time, and the current support level. Via the remote the light on the eBike can be switched on and off, and walk-assist can be activated.
The heart of the Haibike alu frame: light, highly robust and complex manufacturing with a special casting technique known from the motorcycle industry.
    The Haibike Gravity Casting Interface

It is the heart of the frame: the motor interface. Here, many crucial functions such as motor mount, rocker and damper mount, as well as the interlocking battery and lower connection. A robust frame is based on a sturdy interface.

Casting technique known from the motorcycle industry

Therefore, since 2010, we use a casting technique which is known from the motorcycle industry, the so-called Gravity-Casting technique. In this process, negative forms made of compressed sand are placed in big forms. These sand forms are then filled with an alloy of alu and zinc and afterwards rotate in precisely calculated axes. Due to gravity, the alloy spreads evenly and results in an even casting thickness.

    Light, robust and precise

Thanks to this procedure, extremely robust components can be produced which are then exposed to an extensive X-ray control in order to achieve the casting seal of approval. A subsequent, computer-controlled postprocessing ensures stable precision.

More possibilities thanks to the Yamaha drive's unique double chain ring option. For better support on hills and higher transmission in plain areas.
    Yamaha Double Chain Ring Option
Yamaha, as one of a few drive unit manufacturers, offers the possibility of a double chain ring.

    Bigger speed ranges

Here, the rider benefits from an increased transmission spectrum, compared to single sprockets. Whether riding in low gears in mountainous areas, with high transmission down the hills or on long rides, the rider, as well as the system, stay in the ideal cadence range.
